Our Matthew Perry kick has gone into overdrive this month, especially with the addition of Friends to Netflix's streaming library. Yet, while the series is still a hit even 10 years after going off the air it seems that Perry realizes nothing he ever does in the future will compare to the sitcom.

Perry might have starred in one of the greatest shows of all time, with a killer ensemble cast including Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Courtney Cox, but according to The Spec he realizes that anything he does now will probably pale in comparison to the magnitude of success he experience on the 10-year run of Friends.

During an interview at the 2015 TCA Winter Press Tour, where he is promoting his new CBS series The Odd Couple, the star got nostalgic and started talking about his time on Friends.

"I didn't envision living past 2000 so I had no idea [how big Friends would get]," the star explained. "I never really thought about the future and I had no idea I would ever be involved in something as big as Friends and I will never be involved in anything as big as Friends ever again because TV is so different now."

However, he remains hopeful with his new project, The Odd Couple, as he explains that the timeslot that CBS gave them couldn't be more ideal for success, according to E! News.

"With the timeslot we have for The Odd Couple, it's ideal," Perry explained. "It's exactly where we want to be, after the biggest comedy on television; our premiere episode is after The Big Bang Theory and before the finale episode of Two and a Half Men. I couldn't ask for anything better than that."

As for the deal on a Friends reunion, Perry shoots down any claims saying, "we've just told all the stories that needed to be told."
