The Maryland State Police revealed that their car and a tractor trailer collided in Wye Mills, in Queen Anne's County.

Ayres was traveling from Greenbush, Virginia, heading to headed to Baltimore for the planned shower.

Ayres was employeed at the McLean headquarters of PRS Inc. until August when she became certified in psychiatric rehabilitation.

"She was terrific," Wendy Gradison, the PRS president and chief executive stated. "Delightful, smart, fun and full of life... We are all devastated."
