Even with all the negative backlash following France's "Closer" magazine printing of intimate, topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge, looks like Laurence Pieau - editor of the popular French tabloid -feels no regret for publishing the controversial pics. In a recent statement, Pieau claims that such disapproving reactions have been extremely over-rated, and that even more "scandalizing" photos exist that didn't make it in the issue.

The "Closer" issue featuring the Middleton topless pics was released on Friday, and Pieau was quoted as saying that Prince William would feel "less alone" once the magazine hit shelves. Pieau seems to enjoy basking in the controversy, stating that the "whole world would be talking" about the pictures (she's actually right, although the royal family and their supporters despise the release of the pics, they have become a worldwide sensation overnight).
The International Business Times released this explanatory video on Friday:
Pieau claims that there's nothing wrong with her publication printing the indecent pics, and goes on to insist that she decided to withhold printing even more existing intimate photos of Middleton. More explicit photos were taken during the "set," but Pieau wished to focus instead on "softer" images of the topless Duchess. Pieau seems proud to have the guts to print such controversial photos.
