What can you tell us about Hood's relationship with Deputy Kelly in season 3?

Yeah, I feel like the season starts in a place where they're totally getting more familiar with each other obviously. Within three seasons of Banshee, it's weird because it feels like it's been three years because that's how long we've shot it. But really, within the timeline, it's not even been a year. So when Hood and Siobhan get together, I think season 3 starts, maybe, it's still kind of new. Season 2 ends and she's sort of unsure and he goes to New York and leaves her but they get back together in the end. But season 3 picks up and they're sort of just doing domestic things, trying to head in that direction. I think there are comments of if they're going to live together; they're kind of doing that. Despite how weird that is for Banshee, to have a normal moment, but pretty sure late within the season all hell breaks loose and we move on to crazier things.

Does Deputy Siobhan Kelly's suspicion grow in regards to Hood in season 3?

Oh for sure. Definitely. I think we've always been slightly suspicious, obviously, but yeah, Siobhan learns some stuff. She gets concrete information this year and she doesn't handle it well at all. I don't know who else finds out, I don't remember, but I definitely figure some stuff out. It took long to figure it out. She should've figured it out sooner.

Well, you know, she trusts the new sheriff.

Yeah I guess he's her boss.

Is there any specific moments that you can tease of the upcoming season?

All hell breaks loose, literally. We have a whole full out war with the Red Bones. Not just like what happened last season, it's full out last phase practically. We took a long time to shoot. So it's really, the whole season is basically one way or another, war with the Red Bones.

If you're character received a spin-off series or something like that from Banshee, what do you think it would be about?

Gosh, I've never entertained that thought before. Basically the same stuff, like violence and crime. Fighting! That's what we do in Banshee, we just fight!

One of the greatest things I feel about the show is the fans and the support they show the series. If you could say anything to your fans about the support, what would you say?

Oh gosh, the fans. The fans are the best. They are absolutely the best. I don't ever get anything negative, everyone's just so positive about the show. And what I've really been surprised about is how women have responded to it. Obviously we're all on Twitter, that's a big thing, [executive producer of Banshee] Greg [Yaitanes] is really into Twitter. Cinemax likes us to live tweet the shows so it's really interactive. And it's positive. It keeps us really engaged with the material because people, we see how people respond to it. It's really, really positive and it's surprising. I didn't think that women would be into the show, but I get a lot of interaction, tweets, from women saying how inspired they are by the female characters, and even female cops and fireman. Definitely certain groups of people who I did not think would be into it at all. But for the most part, I just think they're all really positive and respectful and people have a good sense of humor. I mean the show is totally over the top and people get that and nobody's taking it too seriously.

Are there any other projects that you have coming up?

Yeah actually, right now I'm shooting this New York Indie called Applesauce. With Max Casella, Dylan Baker ... Onur Tukel is directing and starring in it. We're shooting that right now, we have another week left. It's the complete opposite of Banshee- a New York comedy. There's a lot of themes and restaurants. It's kind of like, there's a lot of fighting, but a different kind of fighting. It's like marital kind of fighting. Not any actual stunt scenes. More just yelling. We definitely scream at each other a lot in the movie, but it's comedy. It will be fun and games.
