Following the first few weeks of the NBA regular season, the Trail Blazers snag the impressive No. 3 spot in Marc Stein's official NBA power ranking for ESPN.com with an awesome 30-9 winning record:

"Question: Do we dock Portland points because a league-high 21 of its 30 wins have been recorded against sub-.500 teams? Answer: Can't dock too many when the Blazers are 21-2 against losing teams and Golden State is 19-1. Especially when you factor in the Blazers' injuries along the front line."

Meanwhile, the Spurs currently hold the equally awesome No. 7 spot (out of 30 total teams) with 24 wins and 16 losses. According to Stein:

"This is the first time in a long time -- going all the way back, in fact, to 2009-10 -- that the Spurs will lose more than 15 games before the All-Star break. Their 23 wins in 38 games is actually tied for the lowest win total through 38 games in the Tim Duncan era, matching a 23-15 start in 2000-01."
