Based on the popular sci-fi franchise from visionary director, George Lucas, Marvel Comics has released the Star Wars #1 Featurette. With Star Wars #1, out in stores now, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Han Solo (Harrison Ford), and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) are back on the comic book page in this behind-the-scenes video.

As we previously mentioned, writer Jason Aaron and artist John Cassady jump right into the story after the end credits Episode IV: A New Hope. The Rebels are still celebrating after the destruction of the Death Star. With the Imperial Forces in disarray, the Rebels aim to press forward with a daring offensive attack. They don't even realize Darth Vader is coming to get his revenge.

According to the press statement, with Star Wars making its historic return to Marvel with the official release of Star Wars #1, series writer Jason Aaron, series editor Jordan D. White, and Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso  discuss the creation of this monumental new ongoing series.

In our MStars News review, we loved how Aaron brought to life the characters with his snappy dialogue. The love/hate banter between Leia and Han is back again, and the battle between Chewbacca and Darth Vader is definitely must-read. In every single panel, Cassady's artwork is glossy and painterly, especially when it comes down to the action sequences.

The fun has just begun. In February 2015, writer Kieron Gillen (Young Avengers) and artist Salvador Larroca (Ghost Rider) present Darth Vader #1, starring the most vile villain in the entire galaxy. And in March 2015, writer Mark Waid (Daredevil) and artist Terry Dodson (Uncannny X-Men) bring readers a special 5-issue limited series starring Princess Leia.

Star Wars #1 is in stores everywhere and available as a digital issue from ComiXology. Readers, what do you think of the Star Wars #1 featurette?
