CBS NCAA basketball analyst and former NBA player Greg Anthony has been arrested for soliciting a prostitute in Washington DC. CBS have announced they have suspended Anthony and that he won't be back on air this season after he was arrested by District of Columbia police on Friday night. Anthony - who played for six NBA teams in his career, including the New York Knicks and Seattle Supersonics - will miss announcing the NCAA's 2015 March Madness.

The Associated Press reported District of Columbia's Lt. Kelvin Cusick saying that "Anthony was arrested at 5:46 p.m. on Friday. He said Saturday that Anthony faces a misdemeanor solicitation charge that's punishable by up to 180 days in jail."

They also report that Anthony was released later on Friday evening.

As New York Daily News report, CBS acted quickly once the new of the 47 year old Anthony's arrest broke, releasing a statement confirming that they would be suspending the NCAA analyst. The network said "Greg Anthony will not be working again for CBS this season. He has been suspended indefinitely."

As USA Today point out, "Anthony had been scheduled to announce the Michigan State-Maryland men's basketball game Saturday in nearby College Park, Maryland."

Ouch. Now Anthony can one-up Charles Barkley after he wasn't officially suspended by TNT after his bust for a DUI (and attempted solicitation) in 2009...

Anthony has become one of the NCAA men's college basketball most respected voices after an up-and-down career as an in-studio and game analyst for the NBA for ESPN from 2002-2008, as per ESPN.

Anthony also played on the UNLV's 1990 NCAA championship team alongside Charlotte Hornets and Knicks superstar Larry Johnson and Atlanta Hawks/Chicago Bulls legend Stacey Augmon.

He was then drafted 12th overall by the Knicks in 1991, moving to the then-Vancouver Grizzlies, then playing for the Seattle Supersonics, Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks. He averaged 7.3 points per game across his NBA career.
