Run the Jewels, the American hip hop duo formed by rappers El-P and Killer Mike, are getting the Marvel Comics touch. Howard The Duck #2 and Deadpool #250 will be getting themed variant covers, with Howard the Duck, DeadpoolRocket Raccoon joining together, to display their love for the rap group.

As we mentioned previously, Deadpool, aka Wade Wison, doesn't care which side, good or bad, he is on. For the right price, the foul-mouthed anti-hero will practically shoot just about anyone in the head. The talking waterfowl somehow managed to get kidnapped from his home planet, Duckworld, and found himself stranded amongst Earthlings. With no superpowers, Howard The Duck just has his razor-sharp wit to defend himself.

According to Music Times, Run The Jewels is by far the best-selling hip hop act since the last two years. Gaining critical acclaim from their self-titled debut from 2013 and Run The Jewels 2, their recognizable logo featured a pair of amputated hands, one holding a chain and the other making a gun. Now we have Wade's amputated hand plus Thanos, who's wearing the Infinity Gauntlet.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Marvel editor-in-chief and hip-hop fan Axel Alonso was aware of the worldwide "tag the jewels" movement  but got the inspiration from watching his son in a game of football, while fans were cheering, "Run them jewels fast!" Alonso then contacted artists Mahmud Asrar (for Howard the Duck) and Skottie Young (for Deadpool), who were quick to say yes to the pitch.

El tells the site, "Comic books are a part of the creative world of a kid in an urban environment. You might not admit it on record, but you talk to almost every rapper - we all grew up with that sh*t. I guarantee you like 80 percent of any rappers that you meet probably went through a large comic book phase."

Mike adds, "I look forward to when this shit drops, taking him up and driving him to the comics store in North Dekalb, just to let him get out and not even tell him that it's going down. I know he's gonna be so proud he could f*ckin' cry, bruh."

The Run The Jewels Variant Covers hit stores in April. Readers, which cover, Howard The Duck #2 or Deadpool #250, will you be getting?
