The iOS 6 release date is set for Sept. 19, 2012. You can download it in just three days.  Be prepared to receive over 200 new features for your Apple gadgets including the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad, and more.

Older devices can access the download online through iTunes or via an over-the-air update according to CNET.  The new products unveiled will automatically have the new operating system.

New features include a much better Siri that can operate on iPads, FaceTime over the cellular network rather than only through WiFi, Facebook integration, in-house maps, "Do Not Disturb" feature to block out notifications for a certain time period, and more.

Apple made the announcement during the special Apple conference held in San Francisco's Yerba Buena center for the Arts last Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2012.  The highly anticipated iPhone 5 was unveiled and pre-orders were sold out within one hour on Sept. 15 midnight.

Even without Steve Jobs, Apple looks like they're not doing bad at all.
