Canadian crooner, Justin Bieber is currently at the top of the world. With an incredibly hot and equally talented girlfriend, Selena Gomez, by his side, there is nothing Justin Bieber can't do. In fact, apart from a new album already out this year, the 18-year old heartthrob is working on making a name in films and sports as well.

If there would be the slight chance of Justin Bieber ever giving up his music career, he'd find a suitable job as a hockey player. Rumor has it that Justin was offered a contract to play in the minor league of ice hockey with the team Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL.

Given Justin hails from Ontario of Canada, hockey is a known pastime and if Justin accepts the offer then it would definitely be feasible. It was head coach and director of hockey operations, Matt O'Dette that offered the contract to the "Boyfriend" singer. It was all thanks to Justin's play with the Toronto Maple Leafs that convinced Matt to want him on the team.

"Very rarely do you see this combination of skill and toughness. We share a common Canadian heritage since we both hail from Ontario. I've scouted some video of him online skating with my hometown team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and I think he could provide some elusive speed up front for us. Plus, he's a right-handed shot which we've been looking to add," explained Matt in an interview with Press Party.

Well, if this hockey news is entirely new for "Beliebers" then there are a few other things quite notable about Justin Bieber starting off with his name. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Justin admitted that his mother, Pattie Mallette, had originally considered naming him Jesse. Thankfully, Pattie had stuck to the name Justin in the end.

While the name Justin Bieber is tagged as the ultimate teenage heartthrob around the world, Justin hopes his fans and everyone around sees him more than just another teenage idol.

I feel like I just don't want to be another teen heartthrob," explained Bieber, adding, "I just think that just annoys me. To think that's what people will - will think of me - or, like, I just want to prove people wrong."
