It's a fact that must be reiterated again and again - Morgan Freeman is NOT dead. Repeat, the renowned 75-year-old actor is not dead. But that hasn't made his "fake death" any less popular, even though the bogus "R.I.P. Morgan Freeman" Facebook page was ousted as a hoax earlier this month.  The sad reality is, many of these "fake" celebrity demises (Freeman, Adam Sandler, Bill Cosby...) are making more "breaking news" headlines over actual recent celebrity deaths (take, for example, Michael Clarke Duncan, Joe South, Mark Abrahamian...). So the question remains, when will all the ridiculous Twitter/Facebook celebrity death hoaxes end?

Happy Fact: Freeman, Sandler, Cosby, etc. are all still living. Sad Fact: "Green Mile" star Michael Clarke Duncan did actually pass away due to complications brought about by a heart attack on Sept. 3. Even worse, Freeman's bogus memorial page on Facebook has garnered a whopping 942,000 "likes," while the most popular Duncan memorial page has received only about 700,000. Something doesn't seem right there...  And for those of you keeping track: musician Joe South died on Sept. 5 (R.I.P page, 5 Facebook "likes") and Starship guitarist Mark Abrahamian died on Sept 2 (memorial page, 189 "likes").

Why fans are still "liking" these obviously fake "R.I.P" Facebook pages is unclear, and as to why some still even exist remains even more of a mystery. But what happens when one of these celebrity death hoaxes turn out to be true? Will the Facebook world and Twit-o-sphere go into complete mayhem?

Fans who like to read about their favorite celebrities still alive and breathing, Mstarz is here for you to decipher the real from the fake. If any "strange" or unlikely reports of celebrity deaths pop up on your newsfeed, make sure to double-check all facts before spreading the rumor on Twitter and Facebook. Let's squash these celebrity death hoaxes before they get out of cyber world hand.
