The reality TV world was shocked to the core when The Bachelorette contestant Andi Dorfman and her fiancé Josh Murray called it quits earlier this month. The stars who found love on the most recent season of the show, announced that they were both calling off their engagement and splitting up.
Everyone was surprised to learn of the news, especially after the couple appeared to be so in love during the reunion of their season. Host Chris Harrison also expressed his shock to Ryan Seacrest during his radio show earlier today.
"I knew things were a little off," Harrison explained to the radio host after talking with the former couple at The Bachelor premiere earlier this month. "They were being a little awkward and weird. But you know, they're from Georgia. You know those people."
"A) I was shocked and B) I was a little disappointed," Harrison continued, adding "because I wish they just said something to me."
"I never would've put them in that awkward of a position and talked about their wedding date had I known they were on the rocks," the host said after he asked them questions about their marriage during the premiere.
According to Us Weekly, Harrison is hoping that in the future he will be able to sit down with Andi or Josh to get the details on what caused their split.
"I've talked to Andi," Chris explained, adding "I've talked to her as a friend. I wasn't pumping her for information. But hopefully, I'll sit down with one or both of them at some point."
The couple released a joint statement together via Us Weekly where they announced their split.
"After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways," the couple explained.
