Gorilla Carries Child Video: 20 Year Old Footage Becomes Viral in 2012

Have you seen a gorilla carry a child?  A video captured 2 decades ago has become viral on Youtube in the year 2012 and it shows a toddler being carried by a 300 pound gorilla.  The father had apparently placed the baby into the arms of the large animal.

The video was shot 20 years ago by Damian Aspinall and he recently posted it on Youtube, according to the New York Daily News.  

Opposite of what some might imagine, the ape behaves very gently in front of the toddler named Tansy.  The baby played together with the Gorilla with no fear.  That toddler is now 22 years old.  

Aspinali, who is a conservation activist, is passionate to protect apes from becoming endangered and posted the video to show how gentle the animals are.  
Aspinali's family grew up around apes therefore the apes viewed them fondly.  However, it is not recommended for anyone to place their child randomly into an ape's arms.
