Giada De Laurentiis Divorce Prenup Drama: John Mayer's Rumored Flame & Hubby Todd Thompson Feud Over Money — Will Food Network Star Lose Fortune?

Giada De Laurentiis might be losing out big time in her divorce. The Food Network chef and her hubby Todd Thompson have called off their marriage after 12 years together, but it seems that without a prenuptial agreement things are looking to get messy. While the star has stirred up rumors that she had been unfaithful to her husband with John Mayer, Matt Lauer and Bobby Flay, it seems that they are preparing for an even bigger fight over De Laurentiis' food empire.

According to Radar Online, without a prenup the stars are sparring over their combined assets.

"They are going over assets now," an insider explained. "But she is worth more than him, so she could lose out."

The star and her hubby got hitched back in 2003, which is around the same time that her cooking empire took off. It is being reported that she is now allegedly worth at least $20 million after being the host of four different shows.

De Laurentiis is not only a TV host, but she also has her own line of cooking equipment, from kitchen utensils to ingredients. She is also the owner of GIADA restaurant in Las Vegas.

However despite these reports, The Inquistr is reporting that after Todd filed for divorce from the star, she claimed their assets including their property was not community. De Laurentiis "believes she is possessed of separate property, the exact nature of which is unknown at this time."

The site is also reporting that apart from their division of assets, there are also likely legal issues surrounding the couple's 6-year-old daughter.
