Reality star Tori Spelling gave birth to a healthy baby boy in late August. But over the weekend, the 39-year-old mother-of-four was hospitalized after undergoing emergency surgery due to complications arising from childbirth. Spelling's newest baby, Finn Davey, was born via C-section, and although no details were given about the emergency surgery, Spelling's rep announced on Tuesday (Sept. 18) that the former "90210" star is currently still in recovery and resting comfortably in the hospital.
Spelling's rep released a statement on Tuesday reading, "Tori underwent emergency surgery over the weekend due to complications from her c-section. She remains in the hospital and is resting comfortably." Spelling has four children with husband Dean McDermott - Liam (5), Stella (4), Hattie (10-months), and Finn Davey. The star of "Tori & Dean: Inn Love" announced the happy news of the couple's latest baby arrival via Twitter and her official website in a post stating: "It's a boy! We are so excited to announce the birth of the newest member of the McDermott family!" McDermott also wrote a precious, heart-warming welcoming to Finn Davey entitled "An Open Letter to My New Baby," which Spelling tweeted a link to on her Twitter page.
Fans previously expressed their concerns of Spelling having had Hattie and Finn Davey too close together, not giving herself enough time to recover from one pregnancy to the next. News of the emergency surgery has just heightened these concerns. Best of luck in recovery to Spelling, hopefully she'll make it back home to McDermott and her four little ones soon!
