"Good Morning America" news anchor Robin Roberts has just finished up chemo treatment in preparation for a bone marrow transplant which she will undergo on Thursday, Sept. 20. Roberts has kept fans up-to-date on her condition through Twitter posts, and although she claims her body is weak, her mind is clear and strong as ever thanks to the courage and love from her supporters.

Roberts has been in a New York hospital since last Monday in preparation for the transplant, and just finished up chemo on Tuesday. In an updated post for "Good Morning America" Roberts writes, "The start of last week went well but the daily chemo/treatment caught up to me by the weekend. My body is so weak but not my mind. YOU give me the courage to keep going." The bone marrow treatment will help Roberts' battle with the rare blood disorder myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Sally-Ann Roberts, Robin's sister and fellow news anchor in New Orleans, is her donor and an almost perfect bone marrow match.

In a tweet posted on Wednesday, Roberts writes,

@RobinRoberts: "JUST completed chemo. Today is day of rest - positive thoughts, words & deeds. How every day should be. Love YOU from bottom of my graeful ♥."

Roberts took a leave of absence from her "America" post in late August in order to start medical cancer treatment for MDS. Following this announcement, Roberts returned home to Mississippi to be with her ailing mother in her final hours. Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts passed away Aug. 30 at the age of 88.

Roberts continues to hold her head up high during this time of struggle. Medical experts predict the 51-year-old's treatment will last several months. Best of luck to Roberts with her bone marrow transplant tomorrow, and here's to hoping for a quick and healthy recovery!
