Charlie Hebdo cartoons are now diving French newspapers. They are running front page headlines warning of the consequences and accusing the paper of acting irresponsibly after publishing the naked photo of Prophet Muhammad.

According to BBC, an editorial of Le Monde says freedom of expression outweighs concerns, including religious ones. It said that since Voltaire religion has been subjected to criticism and ridicule, "Whatever people may think of Charlie Hebdo's editorial choices... the only conceivable limit to its freedom is that which the courts might judge to be justified."

Another paper took a stand on its front page asking if "Blasphemy - a sacred right?"

Nicolas Demorand warns in an editorial, "Appealing to the sense of responsibility of cartoonists, asking them to think twice before publishing, exhorting them to take into account the geopolitical context as if they were the foreign ministry spokesperson means getting caught up in a cycle whose first stage is self-censorship and the last, capitulation."

Even though, most papers agree that Hebo "has not incited to hatred" nor "undermined respect for people" but are playing with fire during such a sensitive time which may lead to more murders of public officials and innocent people.

Yves Threard's front page editorial for the centre-right daily Le Figaro emphasizes, "silly provocations" in search of an attempts of intimidation simply means, "falling into their trap."

Agreeing, writer Jean-François Bouthors says, "claiming to defend the freedom of expression by in turn engaging in a game of contempt, sarcasm and stigmatization is very wrong."
