The Batman prequel, Gotham, returns with an all-new episode on Fox. As more DC Comics super-villains make their way onto the TV screen, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) have to save Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) in 'Welcome Back, Jim Gordon.'

With Fish captured and in chains, Bob has been assigned to torture her. Harvey denies having any romantic feelings for Fish after discovering her nightclub shot up. Bullock goes back to work with Jim, investigating a drug deal gone bad and a witness who saw it all.

At the precinct, the eyewitness is murdered inside the interrogation room. Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) figures out the witness was stabbed with an ice-pick. Elsewhere, Fish's right-hand man, Butch, manages to escape and kill his kidnapers.

While investigating the guards, Jim discovers Detective Delaware is involved in the murder. After arresting Delaware, Jim finds more drugs in his trunk. Delaware is actually working with Detective Arnold Flass, a corrupt cop on the force.

After rescuing Fish, Butch takes her to his place and hide from Falcone's men. Fish doesn't want to run away; she wants revenge against Oswald Cobbleput (Robin Taylor). At her nightclub, Penguin (Robin Taylor) shows off his new establishment to his mother (Carol Kane).

Jim is pulled off the drug case and the eyewitness murder has been deemed a suicide. Bullock reveals Flass has been using the stash houses from the previous drug dealers he arrested. Bullock and Jim learn the hard way that Flass is protected by the police commissioner.

During the grand opening of the nightclub, Jim goes to Penguin because he needs help. Jim needs something to incriminate Flass. Because they're friends, Penguin orders one of his men to get the evidence from Delaware.

After getting  a message to her from Poison Ivy, Catwoman is back in young Bruce Wayne's life. Because Bruce is getting too close, Catwoman breaks his heart; telling him she doesn't know anything about his parent's murders. After listening to Alfred's tough guy advice, Bruce goes back to investigating the murders.

Fish and Butch storm the nightclub, but Victor Zsasz arrives, shooting up the place. Fish manages to escape but Butch gets shot in the leg. Victor decides to let him live and take him back home to play with. Helping her escape, Harvey kisses Fish and promises to find Butch.

Penguin's right-hand man delivers the murder weapon to Jim. With the evidence at hand, Jim makes an example of Flass in from of the entire department  and places him under arrest. Delaware pleads with Jim afterwards, begging him not go after his wife and kids.
