"Love and Hip Hop New York" reality star Tara Wallace says her blow up reaction towards her ex-boyfriend, Peter Gunz was a "calculated" response after he married Amina Buddafly behind her back.

"I'm always -unfortunately- very calculated in everything that I do... when I say 'calculated' I mean what's best for me in that moment, and it may not be what's best for someone else, it may not be what someone thinks I should do, but I'm always thinking what's best for my children and for myself," she said.

Tara explained that she has moved on from her violent behavior simply because when it first happened she was trying to fight for her family, "I'm growing and I just had something traumatic happen in my life. It uprooted my life as I knew it then." She added, "And so there was a lot of (last season) you saw me fighting and I wasn't ready to lose my family. I didn't get a warning. So, I just wanted to fight for my family."

Although, many fans criticized Tara for going on a romantic family vacation with her Ptere, she says that Amina should expect him to do that if she continues to stay with him.

"Peter and I are a family. Any woman entering his life will always just have to deal with that and that's part of the choice she has to make for her life. She could've chose something different, she chose that, and you chose to continue on a sticky situation and you have to just own it," She added, "We will always take our children to places that may not include you and he has other children and has to do things for that other family cause that's what happens when you have children... you just have to accept that," she said.
