Channing Tatum spoke about being cast as Gambit for X-Men: Apocalypse, shooting the much anticipated Hateful Eight with Quentin Tarantino, and the sequel to Magic Mike, Magic Mike XXL, on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. Tatum -- who has also just finished shooting the Cohen brothers new movie Hail, Caesar! with Scarlet Johansson, Ralph Fiennes and 22 Jump Street co-star Jonah Hill -- was promoting new film Jupiter Ascending, which he stars as Caine alongside new mom Mila Kunis, and shared with Kimmel  his baby girl's 'poop face' before being reunited with his childhood imaginary friend, 'Boy'!

Jump Street star Tatum spoke to Kimmel about Tarantino, calling him "The crazy man" and saying that shooting Hateful Eight is "extraordinarily insane every single day." Tarantino, who has recently intimated that he will consider retiring after his tenth movie, meanwhile, is "one of the smartest people I've ever met."

Tatum -- who was recently confirmed as being cast as Gambit for the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse -- explained "So I go up to his house and you immediately realize how much you don't know about film. You're just like, 'I'm stupid and shouldn't talk and just let him talk.' Then you realize he's pretty much done your whole job for you."

How so? Well, apparently Tarantino has an actor's character so mapped out for you already that "it's unreal. You get the feeling 'Do you want to play this character? I feel like you might to play this character. I shouldn't even be sitting here.'"

As for whether or not Tatum will be one of Tarantino's "eight," in the highly-anticipated film, the Jupiter's Ascending star was staying mum.

Literally; he gagged himself onscreen when asked, and then laughed when Kimmel brought up the fact that he can't talk about it... even though the script was leaked online.

Tatum also chatted about the sequel to 2012 hit, Magic Mike, the aptly titled Magic Mike XXL, saying "I don't say this about many things, but it is bigger and better than the first one."

Tatum did, however, reveal that he won't be fat in Magic Mike XXL, but that'll be the third movie.

"Yeah," the star laughed, "it'll be us down in Palm Springs, fat, playing casino games."

Check out the interview below:

Kimmel and the Jupiter Ascending star also compared notes on their baby girls and 'poop faces':

Later, Tatum also talked about his imaginary friend 'Boy'. "That's what he said his name was, so I went with it" and he liked peanut butter sandwiches with cheetos inside of the sandwich."

Kimmel then delivers a huge laugh by bringing 'Boy' out as a surprise guest and reuniting the pair!

Watch the hilarious segment below.

And what do you think? Is Tatum a good choice for Gambit? Are you looking forward to Hail, Caesar!? Magic Mike XXL? Isn't it weird that Channing Tatum is the biggest movie star in the world?
