Based on the popular crime novels by the late author Elmore Leonard, the final Season 6 season of Justified continues on FX. Before the series finale, will Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) and Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) discover Katherine Hale (Mary Steenburgen)'s "cash game?"

As we previously mentioned, in the fifth season finale, Raylan (Olyphant) was just about ready to leave Harlan County to visit his wife and baby daughter. But when he heard Boyd (Goggins) had teamed up with mob boss, Katherine Hale (Steenburgen), Raylan wanted nothing more than to finally bring him in to justice. In the shocking cliffhanger, we discover Ava (Joelle Carter) is now an undercover crime informant for Raylan and will snitch on Boyd.

In our recent recap, Raylan failed to stop Boyd (Goggins) from pulling off a bank heist. Even though Ava (Carter) is now a criminal informant, Raylan has to get her to start thinking she can earn back Boyd's trust and snitch behind his back. Dewey Crowder tried to do the same thing but Boyd was still mad about what happened down in Mexico.

While distracting Dewey, Boyd pulled out his gun and shot him in the head. Boyd couldn't trust Dewey anymore, which is why he had to die. During the night, Boyd watched Ava as she slept, wondering if she is a threat to him as well.

We previously mentioned, actor Sam Elliott (The Big Lebowski) has joined the cast this final season. Creator/showrunner Graham Yost reveals to IGN the relationship between his character and Katherine Hale,"So then we started thinking this season, what is her motivation for doing this? She's obviously done fairly well. She's not a poor person. What happened? And that's where we came into the whole story about Grady Hale and Markham, and that's Sam Elliott's character."

The Speed screenwriter adds, "Then Dave Andron and VJ Boyd were writing episode two and came up with the notion of introducing Markham, Sam's character, not in a criminal context, but in a romantic context. Then we decided to dig into how can we show a little bit of his steel? That was the genesis of it.

Justified continues Tuesdays, at 10 p.m. on FX.
