It is the question on everyone's minds regarding The Real Housewives of New York City — who will be on this season's cast? Former star of the series LuAnn de Lesseps, who was demoted to a recurring role during season six, feels confident that her role on this season is enough to secure her one of the coveted housewives position when the cast is officially announced later this year.

The housewife has been part of the franchise since 2008 when it first premiered, and she feels that her storyline last season, as well as what has already been filmed for this upcoming season, is enough to promote her back to a series regular instead of a part-time housewife, according to a new interview with Ok Magazine.

"As you saw last season, I was part-time but I was really on every episode," that 49-year-old star explained to the news site. "I really pulled my weight in terms of the show."

As far as whether she thinks Bravo will promote her to a full-fledged housewife, she says, "I think I will be," also adding that she feels that the she has proved "how important [she is to] the franchise."

Whether or not the producers make her a full time housewives, the stars says she will continue with the show either way, according to Radar Online.

"I'm here because I want to be here," de Lesseps explained. "Whether I have an apple in my hand, it doesn't matter to me."

The upcoming season is currently filming and is expected to premiere later this spring, with the much-anticipated re-addition of Bethenny Frankel to the lineup.
