'The Challenge' Ryan Knight Remembered: 'Battle of the Exes 2' and Diem Brown Castmate, Former Girlfriend Jemmye Carroll Speaks Out On Ex's Death

It was just a few months ago when The Real World lost two fan favorite castmates, but the world is still mourning over their tragic deaths. Just before The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2 premiered, Diem Brown and Ryan Knight both died, leaving the cast and crew struggling to deal with the devastating loses. Brown's on-again/off-again boyfriend Chris "C.T." Tamburello, spoke up right after Diem's death, but Knight's former girlfriend Jemmye Carroll, took a few months to mourn before publicly talking about Knight.

Knight and Carroll were just voted off on the most recent episode of The Challenge, which aired Tuesday, Jan. 27, and Jemmye broke her silence in an interview with Us Weekly, following her departure from the series.

"The last time I saw him was when we flew back together from Battle of the Exes," the former Real World: New Orleans cast member explained of her final time seeing Ryan.

The couple first met on the set of Real World as roommates in 2010.

"Living too fast was his motto. I don't even think he would be offended by us sitting here saying that. That's who he was as a person," the star explained to the site, adding, "I don't think he would regret anything" of her former lover, who died after a night of partying with some friends.

"Life sometimes catches up to you. I have talked to his friends that were with him that night, and he was happy," Carroll explained. "He was doing what he always did every time he went out, but he was happy, so I guess you need to find some sort of peace with that. Whatever happened, it happened when he was enjoying life and living life."

While the star was just voted off the reality competition, she tells the news site that she doesn't feel that she would be able to return without Knight by her side.

"Every show, he was there. I could never escape him. I don't think it would ever feel right being there without him," she said.

The star also spoke to People magazine about Knight's passing, were she stated that the one thing she wished he knew before his death was how much she "truly love[s] him.

"I just hope that, despite all the s**t we went through -- because God knows we did go through a lot of s**t -- that he knew how much I truly love him."

The Challenge airs Tuesdays at 11 p.m. on MTV.
