Watch the Space Shuttle Endeavour's last trip around California. The craft was hitched on top of a jumbo jet and flew across the sky before landing at the Los Angeles museum.
Residents and workers in the path of the Shuttle went atop their roof decks and peered out of their windows to catch the aircraft fly by.
The five hour air show brought together Americans to catch its flight.
Matthew Montgomery, father to two-year-old Tavion, brought his son out of daycare to catch the once in a lifetime show.
"I was going to leave him in daycare but thought this is a once-in-a-lifetime deal," said Montgomery.
Endeavor has been on its mission to circle the earth and has already been on 25 missions. It has spent 299 days in space and circled the earth almost 4,700 times. It is time for its journey to end and retire back to earth.
During 25 missions, Endeavour spent 299 days in space and orbited Earth nearly 4,700 times, racking up 123 million miles (198 million kilometers).
