Nelly to Propose to Girlfriend Shantel Jackson AKA Miss Jackson Soon [DETAILS]

We hear wedding bells for rapper Nelly and his girlfriend Shantel Jackson! Looks like Nelly may be popping the question sometime soon, according to his interview with The Real last week. In the video below, Nelly decided to take about his relationship with Miss Jackson and his hit show Nellyville, which features the rapper's life as a father of four.

When co-host Tamar Braxton asked Nelly if was he going to be "popping any questions to Shantel anytime soon," Nelly replied, "Yeah, more than likely in a year or so."

The cautious rapper explained, "I think it's very important that you get to know one another before ... especially in this business, friendship is everything and it lasts a lot longer when you become friends first, so I think what we're doing is not trying to succumb to the pressures of what everybody else thinks our relationship should be ... and just taking our time with everything because it's been a lot. She's been through a lot, I've been through a lot."

The ladies claimed Nelly's decision to take his time was "very smart."

Nelly's history included dating singer Ashanti. Everyone who was a fan of the former couple thought they were a match made in heaven.

When it comes to why the couple headed to splitsville, Nelly agreed with Ashanti as they both called the relationship "not normal."

"Me and her relationship is definitely not one that is, I would probably say, normal. Even when we were together, it wasn't normal," Nelly previously stated.

Ashanti was private when it came to dating, and we all know Nelly isn't due to the love he shows for Shantel on the BET reality show.

Nelly previously said, "I've always been comfortable with being public with my relationships. Those situations of being private was basically [Ashanti]."

Shantel is the ex-girlfriend of boxing champion Floyd Mayweather. The two allegedly were expecting twins until Jackson had an rumored abortion.
