Just ahead of its season premiere, the CW network has released a new promo trailer for their upcoming series, iZombie. Based on the DC Comics title, will Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli) discover "who or what" Olivia Moore (Rose McIver) really is before the zombie apocalypse arrives?

From the Vertigo Comics imprint, iZombie centers on Gwen Dylan, a gravedigger by day and a zombie private eye by night. In order to survive, Gwen has to feed on brains before her dead body starts to rot away. With her mind sharing someone else's thoughts and memories, the unlicensed private investigator has to fulfill the dead person's last request.

As we previously mentioned, some changes made for the live-action adaptation. Gwen has been renamed "Liv Moore" on the TV show. Our female heroine now works in the Seattle city morgue, which happens to be a great place for dead bodies to keep popping up. Though Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Kohli) knows Liv is a member of the walking dead, Clive Babinaux (Goodwin) thinks she is some sort of weird Goth freak/psychic.

The online trailer was released on the official CW Television Network YouTube account. The caption states, "Liv has a secret that she isn't dying to tell."

Based on the footage, we can tell the undead Liv (McIver) goes day by day without hope, and "throwing everything away," like her mother says. Her closet friends think she's is suffering from post-traumatic stress. But what Live really wants to do is eat brains from the living.

Check out Liv To tell here:

We mentioned before, executive producer Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars) described the long arc is Liv trying to prevent the zombie apocalypse. When she discovers there are more like her, it only spells trouble for her and her supernatural kind.

iZombie premieres on the CW Tuesday, March 17 at 9 p.m., after The Flash.
