Lady Gaga Fame Perfume Hits Shelves With Big Welcome From Millions of Monsters

Lady Gaga has millions of little monsters who adore her and follow her every move, and thanks to them, her first "Fame" perfume sold 6 million in the first week of sales.  

Gaga took to her Twitter to express her amazement at the response to Fame's success.

"The reaction to FAME has been overwhelming.  6 million bottles in 1 week makes it the 2nd fastest selling fragrance after Coco Chanel."

"Fame" is the first black perfume ever made in the world and was produced by Coty.  The formula turns invisible once it touches air and was described by Gaga as the scent of "blood and semen."

The product's formal description describes the fragrance to exude hints of atropa belladonna, tiger orchid, incense, apricot and saffron.

Reactions to the perfume have been both favorable and distasteful as with any product.

‏‏@ninnui tweeted, "I've tested @ladygaga's Fame perfume. Sorry Lady, this one's a miss - too cloyingly sweet. Is it unisex? What men wear liquid gummibears?"

"6 million bottles of stink..I'm a perfume addict and I was dying to try it but when I finally smelled it I found it's nothing new..just a floral chep quality perfume..bleah!" Luca Adami wrote.

"Her perfume will make her richer than her music." Daly_Beauty wrote.

"Just bought Lady Gaga's perfume Fame.. I'm amazed that its black but comes out clear."
