Charlize Theron Baby: Adopted Son is the Only Man in Her Life, Eric Stonestreet Laughs Off Dating Rumors

Actress Charlize Theron couldn't be happier with her new baby son Jackson, whom she adopted back in May, and it looks like he's the only leading man she needs in her life right now. Eric Stonestreet, who stars as Cameron Tucker in the hit ABC comedy show "Modern Family," recently laughed off rumors that he and the 37-year-old starlet were dating at the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening. Looks like Stonestreet is able to combat Hollywood gossip with humor, as he went on to say that the Theron-dating rumors are currently making Halle Berry very jealous and upset.

Stonestreet tweeted this before the Awards show on Sunday:

@ericstonestreet : "I wish people would stop spreading rumors that Charlize Theron and I are dating. It's starting to make Halle Berry jealous."

Later while on the red carpet chatting with Ryan Seacrest, Stonestreet addressed the tweet and continued to run with the Berry joke: "She [Halle Berry] was so cold to me this morning when she saw these rumors. It was just quiet -- fork and knife on the plate. Halle and I weren't speaking at all. And I'm like, 'Halle, listen! It's just a rumor. It's not a real."

(It's just a joke, Berry is engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez).

Still, the Theron-Stonestreet dating rumors continue to spread - one report from the Daily Mail quotes an inside source as saying, "Charlize and Eric get along incredibly well. They started off as friends but things are blossoming between them... Eric is down to earth and funny and Charlize thinks the world of him. It's early days but they're very fond of each other."

But looks like Theron might have more on her domestic plate rather than having to worry about romance - the South African actress brought little Jackson home just 9 days after his birth back in May. While Jackson is just an infant, it took Theron two entire years to go through the entire adoption process. Theron had this to say about newfound motherhood in an interview on the "Today Show:" "The one thing I'm grateful beyond anything else is that she [Charlize's mother Gerda] raised me to always encourage me to be my own person... and that teaches great independence. And I would hope to have my son feel the same way about himself. And kind of go and discover the world in his own skin."

41-year-old Stonestreet recently broke up with long-time girlfriend Katherine Tokarz, while Theron dated ex-beau Stuart Townsend for close to 10 years before calling it quits in 2010. So while both stars appear to be single, it doesn't look like any sparks fly between the two (at least not yet...).

Stonestreet's rep confirms to People magazine, "There is nothing romantic going on between them. He has only met Charlize twice!"

While Theron has a new life to celebrate with son Jackson, Stonestreet took home the Emmy for "Best Supporting Actor Comedy Series," so looks like both stars have something to smile about, even if they aren't dating!
