Looks like NFL superstar Colin Kaepernick is single again! Will the sexy footballer now attempt to romance two of hip-hop's fiercest beauties - Rihanna and Nicki Minaj?

Katy Perry rocked Super Bowl half time this year, but Kaepernick has his eyes set on the "Fly" songstresses. In a recent interview with E! News, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback reveals just why he finds these stunning ladies so appealing:

"I kinda got two [crushes] between Rihanna and Nicki Minaj," Kaepernick said while lounging in the New Era gifting suite. "The reason for Rihanna is her style, swag and the aura about her. Just when she walks into a room people feel her presence... I feel that's the same way with Nicki Minaj. She just has this presence about her that is attractive to a man."

Do MstarsNews readers agree with that logic when it comes to romance?

Right now, the 27-year-old athlete continues enjoying the single life. But when he does find "the one," hopefully she has some spunk!

"[I'm looking for] someone I can have fun with and someone I can laugh and have a good time," he explained. "I am not about to sit around and be bored all day."

After failed relationships with rappers Chris Brown and Drake, RiRi hasn't seriously dated anyone since, although rumors suggest she's currently "hooking up" with Hollywood heartthrob, Leonardo DiCaprio...

Meanwhile, Minaj just went through a nasty break-up with longtime (ex) boyfriend, Safaree Samuels. Things are now blossoming with The PinkPrint collaborator, Meek Mill.

But perhaps it's time for Kaepernick to make his smooth move?

Or maybe he should just focus on his game for next season now that former coach Jim Harbaugh is gone:

"It's a bittersweet thing you know... I had a great relationship with him. I am very close to him and I still keep in touch with him... Moving forward, we have great coaches now that are going to help us win in the future. I am looking forward to next season and what's to come."

FYI - the New England Patriots proved victorious over the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl on Sunday (Feb. 1).
