'Sister Wives' Plural Drama - Kody Brown Divorces Meri To Marry Robyn - TLC Star Restructuring Mormon Family

Sister Wives star Kody Brown might have four wives, but the TLC star has just appointed a new one to be his first in command. The reality family has decided to switch things up in their plural marriage as it has been revealed that Brown filed for divorce from his first and main wife, Meri Brown, last year. While Kody might have four wives, legally he was only married to Meri, however this divorce has made it possible for him to legally wed his newest wife, Robyn Brown.

According to E! News, the family, which also includes wives Christine and Janelle, is about to go through some "restructuring."

"We have chosen to legally restructure our family," the stars of the TLC family explained in a statement obtained by the news site. "We made this decision together as a family. We are grateful to our family, friends and fans for all their loves and support."

Radar Online is reporting that Meri and Kody have been married since 1990, but that they secretly filed for divorce last fall. The couple jointly filed back in September and they were officially divorced two weeks after that.

That's not all though. The news site is reporting that Kody didn't waste anytime before making Robyn, who he married last December, his new official wife. The 37-year-old fourth wife joined the family in May 2010 and quickly won over Kody's heart.

No news yet on how Christine and Janelle feel about being bypassed for the wife number one spot.

This news probably won't come as much of a shock to fans of the show as they have seen Kody and Meri grow distant over the years, often fighting over her doubts about being in a "plural marriage."
