This extended trailer for Lost River reveals where the film got its name and why critics have deemed it polarizing and bizarre. Full of bleak dialogue, flashy subtext and strange imagery, this film looks like a take on a David Lynch project, which is very ambitious for Gosling.

According to Warner Bros. Pictures (via Slash Film) this new movie "is a dark fairy tale about love, family and the fight for survival in the face of danger.
