50 Cent hired a Private Investigator to look into the death of his former manager, Chris Lighty. Allegedly, Lighty committed suicide last month which was ruled by a New York Medical Examiner.

According to Lisa Evers of Fox 5 in New York, Chris Lighty's mother approached 50 Cent for help because she couldn't believe that her son would take his own life. 50 Cent and Chris Lighty's family hired attorney Scott E. Leemon and private investigator Les Levine, to find more information about the death. Leemon made a statement to AllHipHop.com saying, "I will confirm that I have been asked by Chris' mother and many of his former clients/business associates/friends (including 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and Q-TIP) to fully investigate all of the circumstances surrounding his premature death."

Previously, 50 Cent did an interview with Power 105.1, "The Breakfast Club," a New York radio station and said that there weren't financial problems nor adjustments to his lifestyle that could have cause his manager to harm himself. In regards to the suicide, the rapper said, "I flip flop back and forth to see if it's possible." Reports have been made that Lighty may have been in a financial crisis, but 50 Cent told "The Breakfast Club" that was not true and the money he'd let Lighty borrow was all paid back with interest.

After his death, Lighty's entire estate of $1.6 million in a trust was left for his children and his residuary estate, and anything real and personal, were left to his wife Veronica who filed divorce in the past.

Lighty died of a single gunshot wound, according to Dr. Micahel Baden, who performed the autopsy.
