The Harvest moon is more than just another full moon. Tonight, you can also catch a glimpse of the planet Uranus. Slooh.com will broadcast a live feed displaying the beauty of the moon and planet starting at 7:00 p.m. eastern time and 4:00 p.m. pacific time.
Uranus is 1.787 billion miles away and has 27 moons. It's atmosphere contains helium, hydrogen, and some methane gas.
It will appear as a green colored "star" below the moon through a telescope.
"The Harvest Moon is widely misunderstood. Its behavior is unique, and yet its appearance is no different from any other full Moon... As for Uranus, with its singular green color and wild axial tilt, its permanent overcast never allows us to see markings of any kind, and yet its story is nothing short of fascinating," said columnist Bob Berman.
Sometimes the most beautiful shows are put on by mother nature. The most recent shows that people included the meteor star showers and the special blue moon in August. Many sky watchers, couples, families and friends took the time out to see nature's spectacle.
