Things are about to get a massive shakeup at The View. Now that Rosie O'Donnell has put her two weeks in, the question on everybody's mind is who will be replacing the comedienne. Well, it seems that talk over at the production offices is that they are looking at a veteran of the series to come back in the hopes to boost ratings. So who is the experienced talk show host who they are looking to bring back onboard? Well, talk is that they're reaching out to Barbara Walters to replace Rosie. So will Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez be reunited with their former co-host?

According to Radar Online, the production team is hoping that Walters will board the sinking ship of a series in an effort to boost the ratings.

"They've talked about bringing Barbara back for a three-week special in the summer to boost ratings," a source close to show told the news site.

But the question is will she accept the offer or tell the execs to take a hike?

"She doesn't want to touch the show. She thinks it's toxic and doesn't need the stress," the source explained.

But it seems like Walters might heat up to the idea in the end, as the site is reporting that "She's resisting, but probably will do it."

In related news, it was reportedly the stress of being on the talk show that caused Rosie to step down in the first place. According to AOL, the comedienne and heart attack survivor said she is leaving the series for her personal health.

"I'm minimizing my stress by leaving The View ... and just focusing on what I need to focus on and that's my health and my family."
