Nicki Minaj goes black metal?

No - not really.

In a recent (FAKE) press release, the popular Swedish band Marduk (named derived from the infamous Babylonian god) announced that their next album will feature several collaborations with The PinkPrint rapper (via MetalSucks.com). Now that would make a pretty interesting mix of sounds...

But the Axl Rosenburg-produced story is listed under "Upcoming Bullsh*t," which clearly suggests that the entire thing is made-up.

Ha.

According to the bogus quote supposedly made by lead guitarist Morgan "Evil" Håkansson:

“Black metal is more than just a type of music - it’s dedication and a will to go on a different path when compared to what a lot of other bands have done. Satanic beliefs and a dedication to that cause. That’s what makes you ‘black metal.’ And that certainly describes Nicki.”

The "Anaconda" twerker did just go through a rather harsh break-up with longtime (ex) boyfriend, Safaree Samuels. So it'd be rather entertaining to see the YMCMB darling express this even "darker" side with the self-described "most blasphemous band in the world."

The HOAX report suggests that Marduk's new upcoming album Backschwein (a quick follow-up to the yet unreleased Frontschwein) should be released through Century Media sometime later this year (2015). The record includes a cover of Sir Mix-A-Lot's hit booty-shaking song from the 1990s, "Baby Got Back." Makes sense if Minaj is involved, right? Again - ha.

Several diehard fans weren't amused:

Sadistikexekution: "Fukk you axhole, you DO NOT mokk the Mighty Marduk!!!! They are trve, kvlt, btvtal and grym!!! HAIL MARDUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

MetalcoreFan: "Axl do you know the meaning of the word STOP?????!??"

MasterJake5000: "This might be the worst post I have ever experienced on MetalSucks... and that is saying a lot."

Alexander Pimm: "I love how all these people whining about it being bad, completely missed the joke. I thought it was hilarious. Either that or they have a poor sense of humor."

Peppy Hare: "Just what I was expecting, a sh*tty article by Axl. You don't disappoint."

Anthony: "You're just trying to piss us off now aren't you?"

Apparently, Rosenberg hypes these ridiculous updates "mocking" the metal world a lot.

But it worked - such absurd collaboration rumors are now going viral online.
