Kara Alongi: Not Found Yet, NJ Police Investigating As Missing Runaway Juvenile

Kara Alongi's case is now being investigated as  "a missing runaway juvenile" according to Clark, New Jersey Police Chief Alan Scherb.  Alongi has been missing since yesterday evening (September 30, 2012) after she tweeted, "There is somone in my hour ecall 911."

The social media network communities have joined hands to seek help to find the 16-year-old teenager.  Facebook pages and Twitter accounts were created dedicated to the teenager.  

Alongi's Twitter account has increased to over 90,000 followers in the span on less than 24 hours as people took her cry for help seriously.

Clark police officers have searched her home, and used sniff K-9 units to track Alongi's scent.  Police Chief Scherb said that the scent was traced from the back door into the neighbor's backyard and onto her block again, NJ.com reported.  The Police also discovered an important clue that guided them to investigate this incident as a runaway case.

A taxi cab has apparently been called to Alongi's location around the same time she had last tweeted, and the cab driver confirmed that the person he dropped off at the Rahway train station matched the description of Alongi.  

"She is currently still missing, but we are confident she left voluntarily.  No abduction, no foul play. We are investigating this as a missing runaway juvenile," Scherb told Patch.com.

Since last night, parents and friends have been doing everything could to find out where Alongi had gone.

Now that it appears that Alongi has runaway from home voluntarily, some people on the web are frustrated from the honest scare that they had for the high school student.
