K. Michelle has made some great achievements already this year, and one of those is performing in front of an audience at Today.

The Memphis native became known for appearing on the show Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, later focusing on her music and releasing her first album in 2013.

Michelle went on to have her own reality show in 2014 on VH1 called K. Michelle: My Life which featured her road to her second album, and her move from Atlanta to NYC.

During the Wednesday's Today show, Michelle performed an emotional ballad "How Do You Know?" off her latest album Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?

When anchors Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford saw Michelle's album cover, a shocked Kotb yelled, "Look at your cover," as Gifford said, "Thank you for wearing clothes to our show."

Michelle defended herself replying, "I wear clothes a little bit."

Gifford said, "Not a lot."

Did we sense some shade going on there? Kotb finally changes the subject and asked Michelle, "How is the tour going?"

Michelle said, "It's actually going great. It's time consuming," She added, "I'm away from my son, but at the end of the day, I have to take care of him and I need to get out there and sing for my fans. I fought so hard for this."

MStars News previously reported that Michelle's tour kicked off in San Francisco earlier this month. Her first leg will end in Atlanta in March.

According to Rap-Up, Michelle's VH1 show was renewed for another season, as she moves to Hollywood and will also star in Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.
