When Taylor Swift was told that John Mayer thought her song 'Dear John' was about him, she was hurt and disgusted, according to reports.

In the November issue of Glamour magazine, Swift was asked how she felt about Mayer's Rolling Stone comments regarding her song 'Dear John.' Mayer, 34, who briefly dated Swift, 22, in 2009, believed the song was about him and thought it was done in poor taste.

"How presumptuous!" Swift told Glamour (according to Us Weekly). "I never disclose who my songs are about."

In June Mayer told Rolling Stone the song "humiliated" him.

According to Us Weekly he said, "It made me feel terrible because I didn't deserve it."

"["Dear John" is] cheap songwriting," Mayer continued. "It's abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, 'Wait til he gets a load of this!' That's bulls--t."

Swift didn't seem to know exactly what Mayer told Rolling Stone. "I know it wasn't good, so I don't want to know," she said. "I put a high priority on staying happy, and I know what I can't handle."

"It's not that I'm this egomaniac and I don't want to hear anything negative, because I do keep myself in check," she explained. "But I've never developed that thick a skin. So I just kind of live a life, and I let all the gossip live somewhere else. If you go too far down the rabbit hole of what people think about you, it can change everything about who you are."

Swift has been in a relationship with Conor Kennedy for the last two months, but has not officially confirmed the relationship yet.

"I don't talk about my personal life in great detail," the country singer said. "I write about it in my songs, and I feel like you can share enough about your life in your music to let people know what you're going through."

Conor's grandmother, Ethel Kennedy, was recently asked if she would like to have Swift as her granddaughter-in-law. Ethel replied, "We should be so lucky."

"She's fantastic," Swift told Glamour. "I love her."
