If you tuned into the Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special earlier tonight then you were undoubtedly aware of the incredible amount of names who took to the famed stage – or just sat in the audience – at NBC's 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Needless to say, it was filled with talent! Some have even said it was the Woodstock of comedy. And after watching, it's hard to disagree.

While it's hard to narrow it down to five, MStars News has decided to rank our top 5 celebrity appearances on SNL's anniversary special.

TAYLOR SWIFT

Showing up in The Californians, the 1989 singer seemed to fit right into the LA-based soap opera. And just like everything else she does ... she did one hell of a job.

MELISSA MCCARTHY

There aren't many who can fill the comedic shoes of the late Chris Farley, but Melissa McCarthy surely came close. Coming out during the Weekend Update segment, McCarthy played the part of motivational speaker Matt Foley. You know, the guy who lives in a van down by the river!

And, well, she nailed it.

EMMA STONE

Also during the Weekend Update tribute, Birdman's Emma Stone surprised us all as famed Gilda Radner character Roseanne Roseannadanna. While short, the impersonation pretty much solidified the fact that Emma Stone is adorable. Oh yeah, and talented, of course.

BRADLEY COOPER & BETTY WHITE

The Californians sketch during the SNL anniversary undoubtedly would not have been the same had both Bradley Cooper and Betty White not showed up. Furthermore, it wouldn't have been the same if the two didn't make out during the sketch. Yep, it happened.

Apparently it was the kiss we were all clamoring for –– we just didn't know it!

LARRY DAVID

Come on ... Larry David back on Saturday Night Live? How can we not add this cantankerous yet lovable misanthrope to our list? While he's busy killing it on his Broadway debut Fish in the Dark, David took some time to joke around with his friend Jerry Seinfeld during the latter's segment on the stage.

The two exchanged a couple of jokes about their television show, their fame and how their success equates to being one of the last few to Disneyland before it burned to the ground. Boy did they laugh and laugh. And, well, so did we!
