Two superheroes from the DC Comics Universe arrive in an exciting all-new episode of CW's The Flash. Are Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) in danger from Firestorm (Robbie Amell and Victor Garber) after the 'Fallout?'

After the nuclear explosion, the Flash and Caitlin discovers Ronnie lying on the floor, but he remembers his name. In the flesh again, Martin has also separated from his host. At S.T.A.R. labs, the reunion is cut short when the military investigates the blast zone.

While General Wade Eiling (Clancy Brown) realizes it's Firestorm, Barry takes Martin home and brings him back to his wife. At the precinct, Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) takes Barry to his old home, where his mother was murdered. Joe shows Barry the handprint and evidence Cisco found. The blood samples pinpoint an adult Barry in the same room, on the night of the murder.

While Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) talks about alternate universes and time travel, Iris West (Candice Patton) is asking questions about the night of particle accelerator explosion. Just as Martin explains his theory of time-travel, Barry thinks he ran backwards in time to save his mother. There is a hole in the space-time continuum, but Barry's destiny is to fail his mother.

With a year missing from their lives, Ronnie is thinking about leaving Central City and getting Caitlin away from danger. Martin feels Ronnie in danger as Wade Eiling's soldiers take him hostage. The Flash arrives but is almost stabbed to death by Eiling's device. Caitlin saves Ronnie and the scarlet speedster before they all drive away together.

Based on the readings, Ronnie and Martin are still inside each of other; with their minds in sync. While Ronnie and Caitlin are crashing at Barry's place, Harrison pays a visit to Wade, who thinks there is a new war brewing. At home, Barry and Joe argue over Well's involvement in the murder.

Harrison knocks out Martin with his drink and hands him over to Wade. Iris discovers Caitlin was lying to her and recognizes the Burning Man's face.Wade promises to kill Martin to make Firestorm into a living weapon. After Ronnie cuts himself to send a message, Martin uses morse code to reveal the hidden army base where he is being kept.

At the base, Ronnie realizes he has to merge with Martin to save him. After The Flash gets  Martin out, he gets hit with an ice torpedo. As Martin and Ronnie merge, Firestorm takes on the soldiers as the Flash punches out Wade. Firestorm flies into the air as the Flash runs back home.

Though Ronnie and Martin can separate, they have to keep running from Wade and find out about their abilities. After saying their good-byes, Caitlin realizes Iris is investigating her. Barry and Joe investigate the murder, thinking they can change the past.

The Reverse-Flash pays a visit to Wade and leaves him to Gorilla Grodd.
