MStars News has learned that '90s hit rapper Vanilla Ice of "Ice, Ice, Baby" was arrested in a related case of a Florida residential burglary.

According to NBC Miami, Lantana Police said 47-year-old Robert Van Winkle, Vanilla's real name, is facing burglary and grand theft charges related to a burglary that took place in December of last year and this month.

The rapper was booked at the Palm Beach County Jail, where he was later released.

"It's a misunderstanding, it was blown out of proportion. It's sad that good news doesn't travel this fast," Van Winkle claimed. "It's just out of proportion and I wish you guys would focus on all the good things I've done."

He continued, "It'll all get cleared up, you'll see."

The Florida police revealed that the burglary took place at a foreclosed home at an address near North Atlantic Drive. Police claimed that the missing items include a pool heater, furniture, bicycles and a number of other things.

The foreclosed home was being renovated by Vanilla the homeowner next to the property revealed to the cops.

When the house was under investigation, police came to the conclusion that Van Winkle had some kind of connection to stealing items from the home that he was working on.

"A search warrant turned up the stolen items at a residence under the care and control of Van Winkle," police revealed.

Earlier Wednesday, Feb. 18, before Ice was arrested, he tweeted: "Rise and grind, it's prime time. Actually it's coffee time, hee hee Time to get to work on the VIP"

According to USA Today, Vanilla's employer DIY Network, where he has a show The Vanilla Ice Project, is looking into the case.

"DIY Network has been made aware of this situation and is currently looking into the matter," network spokeswoman Lynne Davis said in a released statement.

The stolen goods have since been returned to the owner, which they belong to.
