Responsible for The Infinity Gauntlet, comic book creator Jim Starlin is bring another title of his onto the TV screen. Before Phase 3 of Marvel's Cinematic Universe's Avengers 3 movies arrive on the big screen, audiences should get ready for the cosmic space opera, Dreadstar, to make its television debut.

According to IGN, Dreadstar was published by Marvel's Epic Comics imprint. The series follows Vanth Dreadstar, the sole survivor of the entire Milky Way galaxy. Dreadstar's ensemble cast of crewmates includes a cyborg sorcerer named Syzygy Darklock. They must all work together to end an ancient war between two powerful and evil empires; The Church of The Instrumentality, run by the Lord Papal, and the Monarchy, administered by King Gregzor.

After working on the project as a movie fell through, Starlin tells Deadline why he will serve as executive producer and writer on the TV show, "I consider Dreadstar to be an extension of my family, so it took me a while to feel comfortable letting anyone else take care of this project. It has taken some time, but I know I've put my trust in the right team and I'm excited to collaborate with Universal Cable Productions and Benderspink to bring Dreadstar's unique brand of chaos to television."

As we previously mentioned, Marvel Studios is in the process of adapting The Infinity Gauntlet , the six-issue comic book event written by Starlin and illustrated by George Pérez and Ron Lim. In the plot, Thanos has collected the six Infinity Gems and put them together on his left glove. To save their dying universe, the last batch of Each's superheroes gather together to take on the Mad Titan himself.

In Phase 3 of Marvel's Cinematic Universe, Avengers 3 will be split into two films, The Infinity Watch Part 1 and Part 2. It will take the united forces of Guardians of the Galaxy, the Avengers, maybe even Spider-man, to take down Thanos and steal the power glove away from him.
