'Looking' Season 2 New Recap: Are Jonathan Groff, Murray Bartlett, Russell Tovey "Looking For Gordon Freeman?'

HBO continues Season 2 of Looking with a special Halloween episode. Getting over breakups is difficult to manage, when Kevin (Russell Tovey) joins Patrick (Jonathan Groff), Dom (Murray Bartlett), and Agustín (Frankie J. Alvarez), as they all learn what it means to be 'Looking for Gordon Freeman.'

Patrick, Dom, and Agustín are getting their outfits ready for their Halloween party. Patrick ends up stealing candy and spots Kevin in his office. After getting an invitation to the party, Kevin reveals to Patrick that he asked for a transfer and is moving with Jon to Seattle. 

Putting his life back in order after his breakup with Lynn, Dom gets dressed up in a He-man costume and wears the blonde wig. Dom helps out Doris (Lauren Weedman) because she has fallen hard for her date.  As her BFF, Dom puts in a good word for her date and reminds Doris he's a good guy.  

Agustín makes fun of Patrick's costume because no one is going to get who Gordon Freeman is. The joke continues throughout the night as everyone thinks Patrick is someone else. No one realizes he's supposed to be the main protagonist of the Half-Life video game series.  

Patrick meets with Richie Ventura (Raúl Castillo), who brings Brady along to the monster mash. Wearing a fairy costume, Agustín tries to convince Eddie (Daniel Franzese) to stay after the party, even though he has other plans. The two tease each other before Eddie finally agrees.

Having way too much to drink, Patrick attempts to make Brady look bad but his plan backfires. After making out with a costumed guest, Patrick is turned down because the guy doesn't want to be sloppy seconds. Making matters worse, Kevin actually shows up at the party with Jon.

During his big drunken speech, Patrick makes a fool out of myself and his friends. He mentions Dom's struggling peri peri chicken business and passes around a cap so that the partygoers can donate. Patrick reminds everyone how Richie found Agustín lying wasted on the sidewalk.  Agustín and Dom stop Patrick and grab his mic just as he was about to mention Kevin. 

Sitting at the porch, Patrick tells Kevin that he wants him to go to Seattle and get what he wants. Breaking the intimate moment, Jon shows up because he wants to sign up for karaoke. Jone notices something is going on, when Kevin says he's too tired and wants to leave the party. 

Richie shakes his head as he notices Patrick walking inside. Patrick sits back and wraps his arms around Dom, wallowing in embarrassment and sadness.
