Sexy Latina/American actress Salma Hyek embraces her curves, and admits that her curvaceous figure is what keeps her looking young and fashionable. Hyek believes that her face and body actually look a whole lot better when thicker compared to simply being rail-thin. Not only that, but the "Frida" star condones the fashion industry for constantly promoting an unhealthy body image - one that she believes pressures a woman into looking like a "little boy."

46-year-old Hyek (who has a five-year-old daughter with French billionaire husband Francois-Henri Pinault) doesn't deny herself any of her favorite foods just to keep thin. In fact, she believes her carb-enhanced diet is what helps keep her looking young and healthy. In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar the "Savages" actress states:

"I am on the limit of chubbiness because I love my food and my wine. It's not the best for fashion, but it's good for my mood. I am happy because I eat. I am 46; I will not have Botox. You know why [I don't need to do it]? Because I eat! I eat the fat, I eat the vegetables, I eat everything. If you exercise too much and you don't eat enough, it takes its toll on the skin. Everything starts ageing. If you don't eat carbs, you slow your metabolism down."

Hyek goes on to explain why she believes today's fashion world is promoting an unhealthy body ideal:

"In recent years, we have had to fight against our genetic nature to look like little boys, to be socially accepted as beautiful. It used to be that a young girl couldn't wait to grow up and take the shape of a woman. Now our goal is regression, to look younger and like a child. There has not been enough diversity of boy shape in fashion."

Hyek may not be "uber thin" by Hollywood's standards, but she has one of the most desirable bodies around. It looks like she joins the ranks of Lady Gaga in promoting women to accept their bodies no matter what size or shape. Add "kick-butt body image motivator" to her already stellar resume of successful actress, director, and producer!
