Well, the 87th annual Oscars aired earlier tonight. And while the night was filled with moments of emotion, elation and, for some, disappointment, we couldn't help but notice that there were also a number of awkward moments from the night's ceremony. Whether they were from host Neil Patrick Harris, some speeches made by the winners or even just those in the seats doing (or not doing) their thing, the Oscars appeared to make us all feel something. But in the case of this list, we're going with the feeling of ... awkward.

So, let's count down MStars News' top 5 awkward moments from this year's Oscars.

5. When That Polish Guy Wouldn't Get Off Stage ... And We Loved It

After winning Best Foreign Language film for Ida, writer-director Pawel Pawlikowski didn't let the wrap up music ruin his moment. Instead, he decided to continue his speech during the music and ride it out. And guess what? It worked, because not only did the music stop but he received yet another round of applause. And maybe he received one from MStars, too.

4. The Phone Call Guy Wants a Donut

When Mat Kirkby and James Lucas took to the stage, they didn't just thank their families, they also noted that now they can get free donuts. Which the audience thought was ... well, weird.

Apparently, so did comedian Paul F. Tompkins...

#WellSaid!

3. Boyhood's Ellar Coltrane Gets Dissed by Patricia Arquette

When Patricia Arquette won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, she was so excited that she immediately popped up and headed towards the stage... and didn't turn around when the star of the film, Ellar Coltrane, reached for her shoulder to hug her. #burn!

We're kidding; it was an obvious mistake. Plus, she just won an Oscar! Who wouldn't be flustered?

But don't worry, Ethan Hawke came to the rescue and gave Coltrane a big hug as she made her way up the steps.

2. Lady Gaga's British Accent

Wait a minute, did the girl from New York City pull a Madonna and fake a little bit of a British accent following her tribute to Julie Andrews? It appeared subtle, but it may very well have been there...

Regardless, she rocked the hell out of that performance. Nicely done, Gaga!

1. Robert Duvall Hating on Jack Black and Neil Patrick Harris

We could probably split this into two based on the fact that it was two separate occasions but they both involve The Judge star Robert Duvall, so what the hell? First, in the beginning of the Oscars, Harris had Jack Black join in on the singing segment between he and Into the Woods star Anna Kendrick. And while everyone appeared to be clapping, there was one guy who seemed uninterested… well, Robert Duvall.

The second time Duvall gave the cold shoulder was later on in the show when Neil Patrick Harris asked he keep an eye out for Octavia Spencer, who was supposed to be looking over Harris’ bag of Oscar predictions. When asked, what did Duvall do? Well, he just stared at Harris and said nothing… and didn’t even smile.

Nothing like talking to someone right to their face and literally getting nothing back. Thanks for the entertainment, Mr. Brick Wall –– oh sorry, we mean Mr. Duvall.
