Chris Matthews, popular host of MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews," had some raging words about Obama's lackluster performance at the first bout of the 2012 Presidential Debates on Wednesday. And what did political satirist (and host of "The Colbert Report") have to think about it - he loved it! According to Colbert, the "pants-crapping" over at MSNBC was definitely his favorite part about the Debates - and the popular American television host had no problem raging back.
In Matthews' rant about the Debate, he vehemently states: "Where was Obama tonight?! He would learn something about this debate... There's a hot debate going on in this country, and you know where it's being held? Here, on this network, is where we're having this debate. We have our knives out. We go after the people and the facts. What was he doing tonight? He went in disarmed!" According to Matthews, Obama basically "let" Romney win the debate... he came out with his head down and nothing really to offer.
According to polls, Governor Romney was the ultimate winner of the Debate, although many believe that both presidential nominees didn't put their best foots forward.

On Thursday night's episode of "The Colbert Report," the comedic host couldn't help but to take some pleasure in the epic freak-out about Obama. Watch Colbert's reaction below, where he says at one point: "Break out the sour cream and bacon bits, nation, because Mr. Potato Head is steamed."
