The Rumble 2012 featuring Jon Stewart and Bill O'Reilly's debate was a live streaming failure on Saturday Oct. 6, 2012.  Many listeners who paid the $4.95 fee tried to participate via live stream video were met with an error message on therumble2012.com official website during the debate.

Users were frustrated and tweeted the following response.

@slackmistress - @therumble2012 It's not on because most of us can't access it because your servers aren't prepared for the load. Just FYI.

‏@ROOTSINTHEBOOT - @therumble2012 just getting a spinning wheel. paid. what am i supposed to do next? if you click "watch" just get spinning wheel

@poploser - @therumble2012 Your website is broken.

Some listeners found alternate ways to listen without paying the fee.

"So, I'm stealing #therumble2012 because their site imploded. Piracy certainly greases the wheels of culture," a frustrated user tweeted.

The Rumble 2012 finally tweeted a message to explain the error.

"Due 2 overwhelming demand, our servers have been overloaded. We apologize for any inconvenience and we're working to resolve the issue," The Rumble 2012 posted on Twitter.

"‏If you missed any of the debate, it will be available on-demand shortly after" is the last message posted on their Twitter account.
