The Yankees ended their regular MLB season as AL East champs. The Orioles defeated the Texas Rangers in a one game wild card playoff on Friday, allowing them to advance to the playoffs. The bombers dominated in Game 1 against the Orioles on Sunday night, even through the rain delay. The Yanks proved victorious with a score of 7-2. The two teams will continue to battle it out to see who comes out on top after five games (10/7 10/08, 10/10, 10/11, and 10/12). The winner of the first round of playoff series will go on to play the winner of the Oakland Athletics vs. Detroit Tigers AL Division Series playoffs. The Tigers have won Games 1 and 2 so far - the teams face off again on Tuesday.
