Kate Middleton 'Vogue' September Issue: Anna Wintour Wants Prince William's Wife and Duchess of Cambridge for Biggest Cover of the Year

Fall might be a long way off, but it seems Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour is already looking to the warmer weather. While New York is covered in layers of snow, Wintour is focusing her mind on September -- more specifically, the September issue of the fashion magazine. The fashionista has been looking to her native land of England for inspiration for the cover of the publication, and what British celebrity is more talked about than the Duchess of Cambridge herself Kate Middleton?

Yup, that's right -- Kate is in talks to be the star of the biggest magazine issue of the year, at least according to Radar Online.

"Anna knows landing Kate for the September issue would be a huge coup, especially since Prince William's wife has never done a magazine feature for a U.S. publication," an insider for the magazine told the news site. "The focus of Kate's feature would be her numerous charity endeavors, which Anna has conveyed to Kate's staff."

As previously stated, it seems that what has been drawing Anna to Kate as a muse for the magazine is their British connection.

"Since Anna is British, she feels a kinship with Kate, and has promised she would have full control over the accompanying photo shoot," the source revealed. "Kate could choose the photographer, journalist and location for the piece."

On top of that, Express is reporting that Anna has been trying her hardest for the last couple years to land the British royal to agree to be on the cover.

"Anna has been trying for the last two years to get Kate to agree and she's always refused," the site stated. "But this time, Anna has stepped up the campaign and is now enlisting her numerous high-powered connections.
