Erica Mena wants to make it clear that her fiancé Bow Wow, a.k.a. Shad Moss, is not a rebound after she and Cyn Santana decided to break up.

In a new clip below for the hit VH1 show Love & Hip Hop New York, Mena decides to join her friend Rashidah Ali for some grub and reveal that she's engaged!

It appears the ladies have a lot of catching up to do after Mena tried to get in contact with Ali, who claims she calls "after midnight when she's in bed."

"I have so much to tell you," Mena says to her friend, as a shocked Ali takes a look at Mena's ring finger and says, "what is this...oh my god!"

Erica claims that she wanted to meet in person to tell her friend that she was engaged to make sure she "didn't hear it from the blogs, so she knows it was true."

"Tell me like from the beginning, how... when did this happen... how did it happen?" Ali asks Mena, who replies, "We've been friends on and off for like years, just friends."

Ali questioned if sex was involved.

"It just so happens they were bringing us together for 106, [& park]," Mena responded. "Now the whole thing with me and him kissing obviously got me in trouble, and it also got him in trouble."

Ali asks, "was there chemistry in that kiss?" An honest Mena admits, "If you ask him, he's like 'that's the moment.' It wasn't for me, because at the time I was dealing with the whole Cyn thing. Even if I did feel something I was so clouded with everything else, I didn't have time to notice."

Ali wants to know is Mena's engagement a "rebound for either one of them. It's real right?"

"No, it's far from a rebound, all he wants to do is just love me, and it's vice versa," Mena says. "There's no strings attached. It's just him accepting me, and I accepting him. It just so happens that we've been friends for so long that we have history."

Ali questions Bow Wow's relationship with Mena's son, King, as Mena explains, "I'm worried about the fact that I've never brought anyone around King ever before."

Rashidah says, "You're going to have to sooner than later."
